Last summer, I was pondering whether to hold onto them another season or toss them out with our area recycling program. I decided to chalk paint one of them and see if that might restore them.

It appears that the paint remained on the chair and astonishingly it also didn't fade. I had the ability to retouch some areas with no color modifications. So, this spring I painted the other chair and now we have two lovely seats that are now poolside. Hooray for Annie Sloan chalk paint.
